Originally from Corning, NY, Brian has moved around multiple states. He graduated from the University of Rochester, majoring in geology, and received his master’s degree in civil engineering from UMass Amherst. Brian has had many unique experiences in his life, including panning for gold, mining crystals and gems in every state, building canoes, and being a driller and soils tech. He has worked as a Civil engineer consultant for multiple firms around the US specializing in underground construction such as power plants, dams, and tunneling while specializing in horizontal directional drilling and small diameter tunnels. In his free time, Brian loves spending time with his family, including his four daughters and multiple grandchildren, skiing in the winter and canoeing in the summer (though at a slower pace).
